55è Festival de Jazz de Barcelona: Tigran Hamasyan Trio

In the year of the pandemic, 2020, the pianist Tigran Hamasyan released his 9th album, “The Call Within,” a dreamy and highly intense exploration of a universe inspired by maps from all eras, Armenian folk stories, geometry, and cinema, among other disciplines. “An epic journey,” says the record label Nonesuch, leading a trio with elements of “Armenian electro-acoustic rock” – as Hamasyan himself defines it – a vibrant and powerful live performance that will hopefully take us to a dreamlike concert, helping us remember all the invisible and unconscious feelings we have, despite everything.
