Andalusia Salvatge

The festival of Andalusian underground neo-folklore, “Andalucía Salvaje,” is without a doubt the event that has succeeded in bringing together, in recent years, the most compelling landscape of a new musical countercultural movement. A wide range of artists and creators reclaim the roots and essence of Andalusian music through new formats and soundscapes.

“Andalucía Salvaje” arrives in the city of Barcelona as a must-stop on its second edition of “Despeñaperros pa’ rriba” (north of Despeñaperros). A creative and much-needed bridge between Andalusia and Catalonia, and a long-awaited arrival to “the ninth Andalusian province,” where so many people once arrived to stay—and where many continue to migrate today—extending the roots of art and cultural heritage across both territories.

LOLE MONTOYA
A historic and essential figure in contemporary flamenco, a pioneer in opening new expressive paths within the genre, and an undisputed reference for multiple generations of artists. On this occasion, she also celebrates the 50th anniversary of the album “Nuevo Día”, a cornerstone in the renewal of flamenco.

CERVATANA
A sonic project blending electronic music, popular imagery, and aesthetic experimentation, exploring new forms of “mutant” folklore from a contemporary perspective. A new project featuring members of Derby Motoreta Burrito Cachimba.

DJ KARPIN
A selector and musical agitator navigating hybrid rhythms, club culture, and popular references, creating intense and eclectic sets. A key figure in the Andalusian breakbeat movement of the 1990s.

ALAHA RECORDS SESSION – Wara’DJ
A special session from the Andalusian collective and label Alaha Records, led by Wara’DJ, combining electronic music, sonic diasporas, and rhythmic exploration. The project is based in Barcelona.

RESTINGA – DJ set
A project traversing electronic music, tradition, and southern soundscapes, bringing a personal and atmospheric vision of club culture to the dancefloor. One of the most singular emerging acts in the new Andalusian electronic scene.
