Cicle d’arts vives Arnau Itinerant: Veus de l’Abya Yala
This is the third edition of the feminist, dissident, migrant, and neighborhood-rooted program within the Teatre Arnau Itinerant initiative and as part of the community activities of Paral·lel 62.
This year it brings together artists from Catalonia, Equatorial Guinea, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, and Argentina. It has been curated in collaboration with three organizations linked to independent culture and creation in Barcelona and the Paral·lel: L’Occulta, Bibliomusicineteca, and FesCultura.
Valentina Luna
Singer-songwriter and guitarist from the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has performed concerts and tours across several countries in the Old Continent, including France, the Czech Republic, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Spain. Over the past two years, she has expanded her musical horizon toward 1950s Italian music. She has participated in festivals such as Italia Republik 2025, Festes del Gòtic 2025 and 2024, Festival Orgull Ciutat Vella 2025, and Festes de la Mercè 2024.
On this occasion, Valenluna invites us on a musical journey from the depths of South America to Europe, featuring original compositions and reinterpretations where modern harmonies and a subtle, distinctive imprint create a syncretism between past and present.
Trizoma
This project explores the music of Latin American women composers and singer-songwriters through the investigation of new and unconventional soundscapes. By reinterpreting the elements that have traditionally defined Latin American music and engaging in dialogue with its heritage, the group proposes new ways of listening that re-signify the sonic imagery that comes to mind when we hear “Latin American music.” This vision stems from a desire to blend different genres and sound textures—both acoustic and electroacoustic—through three very distinct musical personalities. Trizoma’s proposal brings together a fresh approach to traditional instrumental performance with sound synthesis exploration and the integration of diverse musical aesthetics, aiming to expand the boundaries of sonic research.

Kathy Lua
Kathy Lua is a musician, singer, and songwriter originally from the city of Valparaíso, Chile, based in Barcelona since 2024. She has an extensive performance background that has led her to appear on a wide range of national and international stages.
Her voice is forged in the intensity of the Port of Valparaíso, where she absorbs its bohemian spirit and its boleros, waltzes, cumbias, and salsas—genres that inspire her own musical proposal, which she develops independently. She is currently preparing her new EP, inspired by emblematic Latin rhythms.
