CLUBS, Art a la Pista: Mar García + Javi Soler “RECORD: what is going to happen to us?”
THERE WILL BE ONE SESSION AT 11 AM AND ANOTHER ONE AT 1 PM
Record could be defined as a song under construction, whose rhythm, harmony and melody are produced through movement. It proposes on stage the result of an investigation into the sound capacities that movement can provide us with and plays with the line that separates musical composition from choreographic composition. The body, the costumes, the voice and the stage, in relation to different sound recording and treatment devices, are proposed as active instruments that make up this scenic and sound piece.
Mar García, Graduate in Choreography and Performance at the Conservatorio Superior de Danza del Institut del Teatre (IT), Graduate in Psychology at the Universitat de València and Graduate in Contemporary Dance at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de València and Javi Soler, a student of the Higher Degree in Orchestra Conducting at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), graduated in Teaching at the Universitat de València and saxophone player at the Conservatorio Profesional de Godella, are two creators interested in researching the possibilities of movement and sound on stage.
CLUBS, Art a la pista is an exhibition circuit that will turn dance floors into temporary hosts for artistic works and installations, with the objective of offering a different proposition for the venues and generating new synergies between them and artists, galleries, museums, public and private foundations and other institutions.
