Guitar BCN 2025: Julian Lage

The new album by Julian Lage, Speak To Me, vivid and wonderfully textured, presents a series of tales from his ongoing search for a narrative beyond words. Intimate in tone and expansive in intent, the album represents some of the most ambitious music Lage has recorded to date. His original compositions traverse a wide range of American music, delighting in the deliberate intersection of gospel hymns and rural blues, California singer-songwriter warmth, and jazz.
