Hacer historia(s): Variedad de variedades de Quim Pujol

Johnson, Escamillo, Mirko, Charmion and many other artists of the 20th century variety have not disappeared but continue to whisper to us through photographs, interviews, videos and stories. By manipulating these documents, Quim Pujol has developed a series of numbers that put the practices of these artists in tension with his own. By resuming these works from the old location of the Gran Teatre Espanyol for the Hacer Historia(s) cycle, the specters of equilibrists, transvestites, coupletists, hypnotists and forced women will be more present than ever.

With a hybrid practice between poetry, performance and visual arts, Quim Pujol denatures language to reveal the ideology that is inscribed in ordinary ways of expression and thus open up other possibilities of relationship.
