Inti-Illimani

Inti-Illimani is a renowned Chilean folk music group founded in 1967. Their music blends traditional Andean sounds with Latin American folk rhythms. They were one of the leading bands of the Chilean Nueva Canción movement. Forced into exile for several years during Chile’s military dictatorship, their songs have consistently conveyed messages of identity, social justice and political commitment. Today, Inti-Illimani are regarded as one of the most influential and important groups in the history of Latin American music.
