Orquestra Sònica & Fabia Mantwill & Llibert Fortuny & Marcelo Woloski
In a new meeting of sonic universes, Orquestra Sònica returns to Barcelona with a second original production that presents itself as a living, sounding organism in constant transformation.
Under the direction of the German composer and saxophonist Fabia Mantwill (making her debut as a conductor in Barcelona for the first time with Sònica) and with the participation of the renowned saxophonist Llibert Fortuny, the ensemble proposes an intense dialogue between jazz improvisation and orchestral symphonism, with the saxophone as the backbone of the musical discourse. Furthermore, this meeting sees the addition of a new force, Marcelo Woloski, percussionist for Snarky Puppy, an international reference for his way of understanding percussion. His presence broadens the rhythmic landscape of the concert and opens up new layers of dialogue within the orchestra.
A collective body made up of thirty musicians in which international and local talent breathe at the same rhythm, exploring new horizons within the contemporary orchestral format. A living, open and moving sonic experience.
