Roy Borland

Singer, composer and producer with roots in R&B and folk. Heir to a line of musicians and born in Madrid, Roy studied eight years at the conservatory and in 2021 he begins to unveil his project in Spanish. This stage is linked to the everyday, to the special moments of the day, to the pleasures of the routine and its apparent insignificance.

Borland is not one to hesitate when asked about his influences. In one go, as if he were very clear, he cites Jorge Drexler, Bobby McFerrin, Brian McKnight, Radiohead, Coldplay and Jacob Collier.

He has produced for some of the most prominent figures of his generation, such as El Kanka, Teo Lucadamo, Cráneo, Bejo, Teo Planell, Belén Aguilera, Tristán!, Azuleja, Nusar3000 or Barry B. His latest work so far is the LP Fotografías de España and his new release, Un Tiempo en Casa Solo.

Without a doubt, an artist destined to make a name for himself among the greats, a musician with an overflowing personality willing to touch sensitive chords with his songs and his voice.
